What is a hot zone?

A hot zone refers to an area that is immediately dangerous to life and health. This designation is crucial for ensuring the safety of fire personnel and others operating in or near hazardous situations, such as at the site of a fire, hazardous materials incident, or other emergencies where exposure to threats like toxic fumes, extreme heat, or other dangerous conditions is prevalent.
